Seamlessly Upgrading: How to Migrate Your Mastercam Data to the Latest Version

Mastercam Migration Wizard



It will migrate the following file types.


  • Start with launching the newer version of Mastercam you want to migrate data into.

  • Once it opens go to “files” then “Convert”, and “Migration Wizard”.


  • For this example, we are going to perform a “Basic” Migration.

 

Important: If you store this data in non-default locations you will want to use the “Advanced Migration” and select the custom file locations manually.

Also, each version of Mastercam can only reach back 3 versions for Migration. For example, if you need to migrate from 2019 to 2023 you will need to install 2022 and migrate from 2019 to 2022 then from 2022 to 2023.

  • Then review the file locations page.

  • Click next and that brings you to the “Review” page just review then click “Finish.”

  • It will process for a while and a message will pop up please select “Replace the original file in the destination folder” and check the check box that says “Apply this action to all subsequent conflicts”. See the image below:



  • It will ask you if you want to see the results, you can say yes or no.

  • Then you can test out the newer version of Mastercam to make sure all your data has been migrated.
